Heirloom Peony
Herbaceous peonies (lactiflora and hybrid) are some of the most hardy perennials available. Did you know that ...?

Peonies can live for 50-100 years?
Peonies are hardy in Planting Zones 2-8?
Peones come in every color EXCEPT blue?
Peonies are drought tolerant, low-maintenance and deer resistant?

Herbaceous peonies produce stem growth in spring, only to die back to the ground in fall and stems should be cut down in fall. Peonies are dormant during the winter and growth will occur again in spring when you see their pink sprouts emerge from the ground. Herbaceous peonies require a chilling period while they are dormant, so they are best planted in Zones 2-8.
