NEW PEONY INTRODUCTION

A semi-double to double, which begins as a red-white striped bud, each developing into it’s own unique bloom with three tiers of color. Parentage is unknown, blooms midseason and is slightly fragrant. There are 3 flowers per stem with the flower size being 5-6”. Pollen-bearing stamens present, however unaware of fertility. Each flower develops like a starburst. Red and white striped guard petals wrap this surprise which opens as a white middle layer and then a red and white center that often stands more erect. Each flower has varying amounts of the red and white which makes each bloom a starburst surprise reminding us of the uniqueness of all individuals and representing the stars and stripes that represent our flag and country.
